Mrs. Andrée Emile Lahoud has participated in the Second International Beirut Marathon, on Sunday, October 10th, 2004. Wearing the Childhood Protection and Care Association's cap and T-shirt, she covered 10 full kilometers.

Mrs. Lahoud's participation came as an encouragement to the Childhood Protection and Care Association's activities that include services and help to special and needy children, in all areas, be they medical, humanitarian, or social.

On the 25th of October 2004, Mrs. Lahoud received a letter by the head of Beirut Marathon Association, Mrs. May Faysal Al Khalil, whereby she was informed of the following: " We, in the Beirut Marathon Association, are pleased to inform Your Excellency that your humanitarian association, Childhood Protection and Care, has been awarded the first prize among all other humanitarian organizations that participated in the Second International Beirut Marathon."
